Survey of India (Department of Science & Technology) invites applications from Indian National for the 06 vacant posts of Motor Driver-Cum Mechanic in various Offices/GDCs of Survey of India. The last date for submission of applications is 27th March 2017.

Essential Qualifications:
(1) 10th (Matric) pass or ITI equivalent.
(2) Knowledge of Hindi/English.
(3) Should possess a valid driving licence for both heavy and light vehicles (Truck, Jeep and Motorcycle etc.). The licence should also be valid for hilly areas and it must not have any adverse entries.
(4) Should have a good knowledge of the general procedures of daily, weekly and other types of maintenances of the vehicles. He should be capable of locating defects and repairing the defects of the various components of Petrol/diesel engines, lighting systems, suspension and steering systems, mechanical transmission systems and hydraulic brake systems of Motor transport vehicle and should have knowledge of various lubricants and their specific uses.
(5) Should have adequate knowledge of the works of fitter and should be well conversant with the duties of a Motor Mechanic.
Selection Process: Written Test and Practical/ Skill Test for assessment of actual knowledge of Motor Driving and its maintenance repair.
How to Apply: Eligible Candidates may apply to concerned Offices/GDCs on prescribed application form. The photo-copies of documents should positively be enclosed with the application form.
(1) One self addressed 10 X 22 cm size envelope duly affixed worth ₹ 22/- Postal Stamp on it.
(2) Attested photocopies of Educational qualification, valid Driving License, Caste certificate, Date of Birth certificate in support.
(3) Attested photocopies of experience certificate of Motor Driving, Vehicle repairing work and certificate/diploma of automobile trade if any.
(4) Two passport size photograph of the candidate duly attested by a Gazetted officer one should be affixed on the application form.
Last date: Application forms duly filled in the prescribed format should reach the required Offices/GDCs on or before 27/03/2017.
